Simple duck breast recipes don’t have to be difficult to prepare. Just few hours of cooking and some effort you can have a juice duck for your next dinner party. enjoy


  • 1 medium sized Pekin (Island duck) 2 cups boiling-hot water

  • 1 tablespoon coarse-grained salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper



    1. Start with pre heating your over @ about 400 – 425 degrees.

    2. Prepare the duck by removing the tips from the wings using a sharp knife.

    3. Clean the animal by cutting off extra fat from different parts of duck’s body. Now wash the duck thoroughly and in detail from inside out.

    4. Make a hole in the skin all over and fold neck skin under body,

    5. Now arrange the breast with side up on a frame in a medium sized oven pan used for roasting the animals.

    6. Now tighten the skin of the duck by pouring boiling water. Let the duck cool a bit and drain out any water from the animal’s body. Rub the duck with salt and pepper.

    7. Start roasting duck by putting the duck upon it’s back i.e., breast side up for about an hourNow remove it from the oven.

    8. Now toss the animal to the other side and continue roasting for the next one hour or so.

    9. Keep on changing the sides of duck and draining extra liquid inside from cavity.

    10. This process should continue till animal’s skin turns brown and looks crispy i.e., about 2 hours approx.

    11. Put duck to a cutting board and let stand 15 minutes before cutting into pieces.

    12. Discard liquid in roasting pan.
